INDIA – CE Summit FICCI
INDIA – CE Summit FICCI New Delhi 27-28th March 2014
The two-day forum was organized by FICCI and the Ministry of External Affair. More than 100 business delegates from 14 European Countries along with senior political and business leaders are participating in this business engagement.
Ms. Preneet Kaur, Minister for State for External Affairs, Government of India, underlined the need to define new paradigms of cooperation between India and Central European economies as an analysis of India’s exports to these countries makes it amply clear that we have neared the end of the current cycle of economic relations.
This could be achieved by not only expanding the basket of traded goods, but also by adding value and exchange and exports of high-end technology and processes from both the sides.
The trade figures between India and Central Europe which stood in excess of USD 50 billion in 2012-13, looked impressive, but there remains tremendous scope to tap new sectors and significantly raise the trade figures. The forum endeavoured to promote better understanding of the opportunities for businesses in India and Central European countries through a structured business dialogue.
IPCCI delegation headed by Mr. J J Singh participated in the forum with five delegates , Mr. O P Mishra ,MD of Indorama Poland presented his case related to the company’s investment in Poland as one of the successful ventures in Poland.
