V European Congress of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises – it’s an event in which every entrepreneur looking for interesting solutions for their business should participate, but it’s also for everyone who is about to open an enterprise. Everyone will find something for themselves – organizers of this year’s Congress have prepared over 50 discussion panels divided into 6 subject areas and invited in particular representatives of the central and local authorities, business, science and research institutions.
The Congress will take place from the 12th to 14th October, for the first time at a newly opened International Congress Centre inKatowice. As usual, the event will be accompanied by the Services and Products for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises Fair BIZNES EXPO (ang. Business Expo Fair) and by the program Samorząd, który wspiera MŚP (ang.The Local Self-Government that Supports SME).
For the participants interested in running company in innovative way, there are sessions about, among other topics, intelligent development, cooperation with science and clusters or development of new technology. The participants looking for optimization of costs and support in business will be able to take part in panels allowing them to get informed on knowledge management in their business and learn more about leasing options as well as how to protect themselves from a contractor’s insolvency.
There will be a number of panels about leadership and dialogue, on the leader’s role and skills, exploring leadership training methods, business leaders secrets or the best workplace conflicts resolutions . Entrepreneurship has many names, therefore, participants will take part in discussion panels about dynamically developing companies which combine business, culture and local self-government for the development of innovative economy, family businesses or people with disabilities access to the job market.
For the participants interested in international economic cooperation of enterprises there will be prepared topics concerning in particular American market, urban technology and intelligent houses in Austria, Poland’s main business partners – the Czech Republic and Slovakia, or doing businesses with Russia as well as with many other countries.
The organizers haven’t forgetten about young entrepreneurs and those who are just planning to set up a business – they will be able to take part in panels about start-ups, or in a 3-part Marketing andSalesAcademy. Also the Delegates convention of member organizations of the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs (YES forEurope) will be held diring the V ECSME owing to the special young entrepreneurs path. The young European entrepreneurs meeeting in Poland will take place under the name EU-US Young Entrepreneurs Summit Katowice 2015, and the discussion about the Free Trade Agreement between the EU and theUSA (TTIP, which currently is being negotiated) will be the major issue. The discussion participants are going to touch on how TTIP will influence young entrepreneurs. The meetings’ discussion will lead to some conclusions and recommendations to be later on presented to European Commission.
It’s just a glimpse of the event which has been organized for years by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice. The V European Congress of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises will last for three days and will be held under the title: “Science – Business –Local Self-government. TOGETHER FOR ECONOMY”. The European Commission established its Honorary Patronage over the event whilst the European Parliament granted the High Patronage.
